4. Petaluma Village Premium Outlets, Petaluma, CA

Owner: Chelsea Property Group
Architect: Donald Carlson & Associates

Description: Steel and corrugated iron were used to create a look that resembled a farm village with detailed hardscape and agricultural elements such as fountains and site furnishings. The project was built in two phases to total 204,000 sf in fourteen buildings. Parking was constructed in the flood plain for the Petaluma River requiring an audible flood warning system.
